DAC/audio interface for Kali IN-8 V2

Just received it and connected it. Looks good and I don't know if it's placebo effect, but the sound seems fuller, especially the low end.
No weird clicking noises or anything..
FYI: So far just using my regular windows driver and it just works out of the box.

I jumped the gun and ordered the raw-mda1. I'll let you guys know if I have any problems or everything is fine (as well as in the review thread).
Please do. These practical everyday use things are missing from reviews way too often, generally speaking. It's always good to hear some real world experiences of how these things work in actual use.

  • I registered on this forum just to say that I hope to be another one of the problem free users as I have one on the way to me to. I will post my experiences when it shows up. How do you like yours?
  • As for the click and pop issue. I'm not all that worried. Many more happy users on other forums that don't have this issue.

So far so good. Sturdy build, good quality screen, connections (XLR etc.) are proper. And like I said, it might be placebo but coming from the lousy Lexicon Alpha (most budget audio interface there is, released about 20 years ago) but the low end sounds more "rounded", pleasant to the ear. No idea how to describe it other than rounded lol.

I'm a bit in the same boat, i ordered a Hifiman planar and my 17 year old Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi HD Dac just didn't have enough amplification to drive it. I do own a modern AKM portable dac I'm very very happy with, but that one is also a bit to weak to drive the hifiman the way it drives my 600 series sennheiser. So i needed a solution. I played with the idea of building my own DAC and amplifier with a tube analog section but I realized i just haven't got the time to do that at this moment. So, i needed a solution and after some research I settled for this one.
