Hello, everyone. My name is Kostya I'm working at company that manufactures professional acoustic systems in position of acoustic engineer for 6 years.
For my PC I wanted to buy small speakers that will have decent audio quality and Creative was one of the brands familiar for me for their sound blaster cards.
So I ordered four types of speakers from Creative and made basic measurements for them:
Creative Pebble V2 - further V2
Creative Pebble V3 - further V3
Creative Pebble Pro - further Pro
Creative Pebble X - further X
Measurements were made in semi-anechoic room with Earthworks M30 measurement microphone located on the axis in 0,5m with reference speaker sound pressure level of 88db (Peak Sine) at 1kHz (for all measurements unless otherwise stated).
Let's start from V2:
this is cheapest option - basic speakers if u don't have any other options, sound quality on perception - low, with a dominant midrange and a lack of low frequencies, increasing volume make sound overloaded and distorted.

Measurements: THD-orange, 2nd-harmonics - green, 3rd-harmonics - yellow

Creative Pebble V3
Slightly better sound quality because of increased speaker power handling, sound quality on perception - low, with a dominant midrange and a lack of low frequencies
(last photo size comparison V2 and V3 - bigger):

Creative Pebble Pro
decent sound quality, great leap from V3's especially when comparing side to side. Best choice for quality/price!
Recommended equalization: -3(-4)* db high shelf from 2kHz. *depending on your preferences
Pro and V3 same size

when powering from suitable power distributor(PD) speaker activates separate preset increasing bass(red curve) drawback is correspondingly increased distortion

Creative Pebble X
Sorry don't have photos of this one also forget to make side to side photos of Pro and X, but X distinctly bigger( 40% in volume) from Pro, and I wouldn't recommend them for travel setups(take Pro)
Sound quality on perception: slightly noticeable quality gain from Pro's, better low's(sometimes too tiresome) and due to increased speaker cone mass+area resulting in shifted peak(10khz) and dip - very(too much) pronounced sibilants
Equalizer that comes with software "Creative App" is unusable because of unpredicted reaction to slider movement resulting to even worser sound.
PD(red) vs USB(green)

P.S.: I kept Creative Pebble X for use.
P.S.S. for manufacturer: for further increase in sound quality - move away from the idea of a full-range speaker and place separate tweeter and woofer(seems that this even possible in X form factor).
