Casting to BlueSound Node?

Can you cast streaming services from a phone / tablet to a Node or does it all depend on what service you're using ... in other words can you with say Spotify Connect but can't with Amazon Music and in which case you have to use the BlueOS App for that service?

You may cast to a Bluesound network if one of your Bluesound devices has Bluetooth and is within reach of your smartphone.
You'll have to use the BluOS app to select Bluetioth as a source though (once).

Otherwise, you just configure your service provider in BlueOS

I wonder if this has anything to to with the apps.
Apps get their audio form somewhere, local storage, streaming service, etc. They hand the audio to the operating system. The OS chooses the audio device.
If it uses Google Cast, the audio will be send using it. Of course to play it requires a receiver featuring Google Cast as well.
