Budget headphones for casual listening, around $75

If you're from Europe,i would suggest getting a sennheiser hd 25,you can get it on occasion from vinted that delivers throughout Europe, there's also the moondrop joker ,i don't have it ,but it has a good frequency response even though some bashed the 2-3khz emphasis it looks good for me,it's available on Amazon for that price

Please consider that even if that peak is not the end of the world,it make the headphone a bit sibilant, where the hd 25 will not.And the timber might be better on the hd 25.From what i read ,HD25 has more isolation too(HD 300 pro-store: vinted).

I just realized the FIIO JT1 is in the cards here, better than the two at first sight but the hd 25 has better volcals,i'm gonna leave the frquency response here.

My favorite cheap headphone (and I do like the value side of things) is the AKG K361 headphone. Great sound, cheap price, long and short cord provided. They are over-ear but I don't find them very isolating. The Sennheiser 500 series has some good models too, I like the discontinued 518.

When I want on ear and open-back, I still use my old Sennheiser HD 414 and 424 headphones, but these are high impedance and only work OK with a headphone amp or a integrated amp or preamp with headphone jack.

I'd wait until the 17th for the AliExpress summer sale and get Thieaudio Ghost with coupons and coins with a cash back credit card to get at your budget. The U.S. version of the Apple 3.5mm to USB adapter is $9 and you'll have excellent quality audio and extremely good value for money. I have those and would recommend them to anyone at that price point when the sale starts.
Got my Ghost today, quick test very positive, warm, not fatiguing but still detailed and clear, obviously lacking the sub bass I'm now accustomed using mostly iems, but really pleasant sounding without eq.
Very comfortable even with my glasses, at least for this brief session, super plushy velour pads and plaeather headband (we'll see how long it will take to start flaking).
A bit inefficient but i listen not loud, with Sabaj A10h I got comfortable volume still in low gain at around -30 dB, later will try with Sonata BHD single ended, if it will not suffice maybe I'll get this affordable balanced cable.

For €43 during Linsoul sale it was an absolute banger.

[EDIT]
In the meantime also arrived the Grave A06 CX31993 €5.50 dongle so connected the Ghost to it on the fly... Oh, well, plenty loud for my tastes at 55% Windows volume. Later I'll measure output voltage with multimeter but just this ensured me already that Sonata BHD will be more than enough.
