Is there a proven and tested go-to budget amp people use when they only need to connect a turntable and a streamer?
Right now I'm looking on the fancier/bigger boxes like the Aiyima A80 or the O-Noorus D4 (because of the remote tbh).
hoping they offer more connectivity. But basically I have no clue.
I want to stay with the small form factor, obviously a bigger amp/reciever probably has all the inputs I would need.
But my ideal mix would have: Grounded phono-in with a preamp, build in streaming functionality for Spotify, motorised volume,
treble and base control, enough power to drive the CT-800s. All-in-one.
Is there sth out there in the budget world?

How loud do you listen? Need to know so you can estimate wattage requirements. Room size and listening distance helps, too.

Generally I use 1-10 watts but it jumps quickly if I really want to boogie.

Budget?

Maybe a NAD D3045 if $800 is OK.
Marantz Slimline chassis is 17" wide but not too tall. $400 at Accessories4less.com. Pre-outs for more power later.

Thanks, I realise "Budget" probably means sth different for everyone. I'm looking for sth around 200€.
Room isn't that big, like 25 square meter .

Yamaha as201 is an absolute bargain - but not so much the small form factor.

Loxjie A30 plus ART Precision Phono but the Yamaha RS201 seems better except for size

Thank you for the suggestions so far. I was really hoping to find a really small solution. I saw the Wiim Amp, it could check all the boxes, but I don't like the design and it has no dedicated phono in and is above my budget. Argon Audio SA2 seems to have it all, but even more expensive. I guess basically I was hoping for a cheap NAD C700 V2 alternative, oh boy, I see myself out...

Hi, your problem is the built-in phono stage. That generally means bigger box 'old school' amps.
I'd also support the Yamaha AS201 (or second hand 301/501)

Do you already have a TT? If not, get one with a phono stage. Otherwise, members have already made good suggestions above.

Good luck!

Am I missing something? The Yamaha r-s202 has no phono in and measures so-so. It's big and eats much of the budget.

Fosi v3 and the art DJPRE 2 seem like a no brainer recommendation. Im not sure if the fosi has a remote but if you go to the reviews, use the filter to see only recommended and dial in your budget, you can just starting going down the list until you find one that has the features you need.

I can personally vouch for the Loxjie a30 as being a very well thought out amp with a remote and things like Bluetooth and usb, decent looks etc. Not sure why the poster above said the Yamaha is better since as far as I can tell the Loxjie measures better (I actually have a Yamaha 301s and prefer the loxjie). You will still need the external phono amp.

For everything you are asking for, Wiim might be the only option.

If you suffer from the cost equals quality delusion, try and drop it and read the reviews here.

edit: I didn't notice that you say enough power to drive those speakers. I don't know if my suggestions are adequate. Fosi makes similar mono amps which might give you more power.

Given the budget, I would buy or auction a used Yamaha A-S 700, or alternatively a larger, slightly older Nad.
You can hardly get more for your budget.
