ASR is a great resource for speaker measurements using the Klippel which processes out reflections. Many DIYers measure speakers outdoors. Institutions with a lot of funding construct anechoic chambers.

Brigham Young University has two, small and large, and does acoustic research.

According to their website, it is available for tours.

The website has studies which may be of interest to ASR participants, and potential students.

They have a 360 degree Klippel-like microphone array with 5 degree redial spacing. One project is to map in 3d the radiation pattern of acoustic instruments. That is of great interest to recording engineers who rely on tradition and black arts in selecting microphones and placing them.
