Anything that looks like a power conditioner but is NOT? Just need a nice looking power "strip"

That's a just for fun setup that particular day. Push-pull 11BM8 stereo amp and a pair of very cheap (and not very good, as ASR readers know) PartsExpress 652-AIR loudspeakers.

That said: why not put an amplifier on the floor? Many folks do.
It's also not exactly on the floor, even if it is close to the floor. ;)
I just like making fun of people who puts their amp on the floor! :p

Haggus is the Nordic variant, they have more fur and can withstand colder temperature and are quite social/amenable by nature, our haggis is short, stocky with a wiry waterproof coat and are solitary/angry little feckers by nature.

And seeing as I’m here, Why the UK has the best plugs - fact!
That IS an interesting design. I'll be happy to try that plug. But Haggis.....um, well....I'll politely decline.

Hello,
So I have decided that I rather avoid those power "conditioners" but I like the looks of them with the connectors on the back and display for a clean look. Or even without a gauge of voltage, it will be fine as long as it keeps thinigs nice and clean by connectiong from the back of the unit.
Is there any you can recommend that will absolutely not do anything funny to the power going to my gear that fits this?

Hope that made sense :D
Tripp Lite or A.R.T.

In all seriousness, impossible to go wrong, I think, with Tripp Lite. :)
Is Waber still around (i.e., not just as a brand name for generic products)?

Also looking for a semi fancy front switched powerbar so other family members can turn the stereo on and off.

What does the group think of this one?

Seems like a simple enough unit with out too many harmful bells or whistles.

Or this one,

But as silly as this sounds, I don't like the red LEDs ^ .

Comments on either?

I can think of better ways to have good aesthetics than a "power conditioner" which tends to just be bullshit.

Looks good and 12 outlets

Not an endorsement in any way SQ wise, but my GFs place had weird power patterns that caused weird glitches and even equipment failures. Now nothing has happened. I'd say quality protection with good build quality at a decent price, but also sure you can get the same cheaper.

My 2k power conditioner is decommissioned.

That would be a big stretch to claim an SQ difference.....

What is an equipment flavor?

Good for you...nobody asked for your opinion about that..so no need to "Karen" this thread. Welcome to my ignored list.

I chose a Panamax M5400-PM. The M5300-PM is the same thing without the voltage regulator for less money, but at the time I made the purchase the 5400 was on sale so it was actually a little cheaper. As of today both are on sale and the 5300 is less expensive, if I was buying today I would choose the 5300.

My primary reason for purchasing such a thing was I needed a power supply with a 12v trigger input. Surprisingly, I haven't been able to find a budget priced surge protector with this feature. I use the 12v trigger so that when my integrated amp is turned on / off, all the other 'stuff' turns on / off with it - CD player, tuner, turntable, streamer, and a couple of little lights that illuminate the system. Plus it does look nice on the shelf. Obviously not expecting (or experiencing) any kind of improvement in audio quality etc.

It does have a couple of nice features like sequenced power on / off which can be nice for systems with separate amp / preamp so that things are powered up and down in the correct order, a couple of high current outlets for power amps, and a ground lug which I suppose could possibly be useful in a ground loop situation. For the price, hopefully the surge protection is better than a cheap surge protector, but who knows.

The Furman Elite 15 mentioned above has a similar feature set for a similar price, depending on which appearance you prefer.

Parasound P6 has 12v trigger out, Furman Elite 15 has 12v trigger in.

Plugging the Parasound into one of the Furman unswitched outlets let me have the whole system turned on with the Parasound remote. This way the family can turn things on easily. :)
