Hi all,
I just bought a cheap Viomi (Xiaomi partner) Android TV. A plan was to use an USB DAC for movies, Spotify and Chromecast. Many years I use ODAC from PC and I know it's sound very well. However it sounds ugly from the TV. Okay, changed ODAC to Lusya Fever DAC (Dragonfly clone) and I believe it sounds equal from TV and PC, but I'm not sure. I also plan to test Schiit Modi 3+.
First time with Android TV and can't understand sound settings. Any changes such as output format, EQ, balance don't affect the sound. It seems that all those settings are about internal speaker and USB takes the sound without them. What about optical SPDIF?
Could you suggest how to get the most quality output from the TV?
