Hi All,
I have a Fiio K9 Pro ESS that has a 4.4mm Balanced IN.
I have an external DAC that also have Balanced XLR OUT connectors. I dont have XLR IN connectors in the Fiio K9 Pro.
Yet there is this 4.4mm Balanced IN thing. I saw on eBay that there are 4.4mm to Dual Female XLR cables.

Is that safe to use? is this too risky? anyone tried something like this?

thanks a lot!

Perhaps stating the obvious 4.4 Pentagon is 2x2 plus ground so could not be balanced because balanced like XLR is 3 wires per channel. It probably works the same as going from XLR to RCA.

It's balanced. Stereo differential, impedance balanced Line input + safety GND.

You don't need a separate GND for each channel, so five pins are enough.
