Stax Lamda Pro's weren't really much better. Big rectangles on the side of your head. A bit more conventional headband. Most comfortable phones I've had actually. I owned a pair for a decade or so. Had to use a power amp to run them. Used a Sumo Andromeda on them for a while, and a C-J MV45 for a time too.
