Doesn’t the use of the new GaN FETs help push the switching speeds much higher away from the audio band? Wouldn't this allow lower feedback and maybe less smear in the upper ranges? Maybe Bruno and Purifi will come out with a GaN amp soon.
I have these as my main and center for a home theater setup. They are worse than what Amir reported. Unbelievably inefficient that you need some big power AV receiver to make them play. I found them on close out online for a great price and wanted something thin and inconspicuous.
I am starting to think the purifi woofers were built with measurements in mind and not ease of implementation for speaker builders. Maybe with time and feedback from builders they will build a driver that breaks new ground.
Dennis thanks for your time and reply. Are both the active woofers or is the bottom the Purifi passive radiator? If they are two active drivers do both see the same response from the crossover or is the bottom woofer crossed lower? Thanks
