Just wondered what movies or TV shows you and/or your family like to check out during this time of year.

The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (2010)

This was a pretty fun one that I happened to catch a couple times on cable this month. I particularly enjoyed Brooke Shields (of Blue Lagoon fame) as the rather serious and slightly sinister Madame V.

I am a fan of the old Universal and Hammer creature features as well. Some of those hold up a little better than others though.

There is only 6 or so days until end October... however, I'm looking forward to this coming out Nov. 11;

Yeah, I meant to start this a bit earlier, but was too tied up with other stuff. :)

I am a big 007 fan as well. So thank you for the above suggestion, JSmith. I guess this will probably be Craig's last turn as the super sleuth.

Yeah it's his last movie as Bond... who the new Bond will be is still a mystery, although there is plenty of speculation;

I think Quantum of Solace is probably my favorite of the Craig 007's so far. Probably followed by Casino Royale, and then Spectre.

No idea who should be the new Bond though. :)

I picked up a copy of Lynch's 1984 version Dune, and also watched that recently. And am somewhat curious about the new 2021 version, which just dropped in theaters as well.

Lynch's version is a bit strange. And not all that coherent imo. Though it contains some very striking visuals.

Ridley Scott's Legend (1985)

The extended director's cut (aka European version) with the Jerry Goldsmith score is the best version of the story/movie imho. Though I enjoy the US version with the Tangerine Dream score as well.

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
Funny you posted this... I just dusted this off the old DVD shelf last week and watched same again. It's a great movie, Gary Oldman is excellent in this, in fact I believe it was one of his favourite roles. Highly recommended to members that may not have seen this.
