Another interesting wine from Majestic in the UK… perfect in a sunny garden :)

I love the dry Muscats from Trento particularly. Perfect with asparagus.
Good shout - we are polishing off with some Sicilian Pecorino :)

This is Chilean - even more interesting , but very tasty !

Currently ignoring the chief medical officer’s warnings

That's something I'd like to try. I have a particular love for Chilean wines, used to go there a few times a year.

I bought a semi dry red Chilean bottle last week that was marked down on discount. For me the Chilean red wine followed a bottle of Chianti Ruffino and a bottle of Antinori Valpolicella and the Chilean red tasted very well after the dry red Italian wines. Maybe it was a good week for red wines for me but the Chilean I think was underpriced.

Look for Carmenere- I think it's Chile's best red variety. My take: it's like Merlot, but interesting.

It was very Merlot in that the red colored teeth staining level was thru the roof...LoL. I figured by the time that I could ship a 750ml (0.8 US quart.) glass bottle to Canada with bi-lingual labelling and metric system used for dispensing and get it on retailers shelves it would cost me less to not make it in the first place. :D I bought grapes the other day and many days before that and they cost a arm and a leg in Canada for the good stuff.

I have intention to go buy specific wines and when I get there I am distracted by labels, sale prices and whatever else they use to grab my attention. The recent store I've been frequenting has spotlights and a sort of twinkly sparkly full spectrum lighting that even has 3 chandeliers for full twinkle effect to make everything made of glass pop out with color and definition. I am easily swayed but am having fun and experiencing some wines I might not have purchased otherwise. It just happens to be that this new store has the Italy, Chile and Spain wines all easily within reach. If I move along another 2m/6 feet I can have another wall to wall selection. It's a really cool nook of a store. I need chardonnay. It's getting warmer.

I think that’s a great approach - bit like music listening, try a bit of everything and see what you like .

I have little to no knowledge about wine so I'll just chill and test drive lots... :D I have my cheap and easy Copper Moon Chardonnay for easy and fast spritzer action and then I usually vary that with other chardonnay brands or other white wines. So with this warmer weather coming spritzers will be a handy alternative.

What’s the best mixer in a good spritzer - soda or lemonade?

I find it depends on the ice and taste buds at the time. The ice can really change the melt ratio and that reduces the mix ratio accordingly. I shoot for max ice in glass and then mix from there... My standard is a standard bar glass beer mug that has been frozen frosty.
