The Wilhelm scream is an iconic stock sound effect that has been used in countless films and TV series, first originating from the 1951 movie Distant Drums. The scream is usually used in many death scenarios when someone is shot, falls from a great height, or is thrown from an explosion.
The very first movie the Wilhelm Scream was used in.

Those must be some very special silent explosions in spaces with no echo at all, since one can hear such a whiny scream despite explosions being strong enough to throw someone away.:D:D:D
