What brand is the "Benchmark" of speakers?

I don't really think there's a single benchmark brand, it's such a complex area that the closest you get is different tradeoffs.

Nope there isn't any. There are many established brands that produces hihg quality speakers but I wouldn't single 1 out as the best.

I agree there isn't really a "benchmark" but Revel, Focal, and KEF come to mind as brands that have consistently good reviews and products, but there are many other good ones and many brands have multiple good models along with multiple bad ones.

I would compare measurements rather than websites.
But all three are top of the table, just depends on prospective use, aesthetics, preference , budget etc
