what are your industrial design favorites?

The styling and manufacturing quality of any kit I buy is pretty important to me.
My favourite styling is the Resolution audio Cantata music centre. A bit ott inside, machined from solid with multiple transformers but I love the scalloped machining on top and the display showing through rows of holes.

The top treatment reminds me of engine-turned metal on an old Bugatti. Really nice work.

There's something about the 1237 and 1238 that's really magnetic to me.

Grim and monolithic enough to be found in a Lovecraft story. Basically, I'm a sucker for anything that instantly gives me the "serious business and serious business accessories" vibe; real utilitarian design, as opposed to the intellectual facsimile that is modern minimalism.

It’s not my favorite industrial design ever, and they actually look much better in person, but the DSP series from Meridian are beautiful. I’ve got a pair in my living room, and they improve the decor for sure, especially with my mid century theme. (Picture not my living room, just from Meridian site!)

It's not audio, but remains unsurpassed (as far as anyone knows)
