Hello everyone!

The other day, I played a record on my system and, as I was sitting on my couch, facing the sound stage, the euphoria of the music rushing inside me, a sentence came and bursted out of me: "WHAT A MIRACLE!"

This hobby is one fascinating rabbit hole... because it's SO rewarding! There are so many hobbies where you lose yourself in, getting caught in the fever of it, and never really taking the time to enjoy it;

But this passion of ours, it leads us to play the music we love, and it allows us to create a stronger bond to said music... and that makes it quite unique, if you ask me.

And I wanted to share this with you. And I thought that maybe others also felt like sharing their moments of deep appreciation. I looked for an "appreciation thread" or something and couldn't find anything. Also thought that it's something that could be re-enacted... If not, I'd get it if it were deleted by mods of course :)

I evidently chose to call it "The Grateful Thread". Once I saw the joke, I couldn't convince myself otherwise.

So yeah, I'm thankful for Hi-fi and for ASR... because woaw... one can really recreate an impressive experience at home.

PS: I'm thinking we could also start a "frustration thread" ahaha!

A Grateful Thread... And just in time for the Season. Music is a miracle, for sure. This Yule and Solstice, I think we can all be grateful for the work of the Mysterious N. Senada, who having an idea that a musical missing link existed within the Inuits of the frozen north, set off on an exploratory expedition; an attempt to prove the Theory of Phonetic Musical Organization, within his overall Theory of Obscurity (i.e., the best art is produced in isolation, apart from any public).

Last seen leaving the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, heading north over ice with sled and dogs, ignoring official warnings of doom and danger. Some say he never made it. Others believe he eventually joined one of the wandering tribes as a Shaman. No one knows for sure, however years later the purveyors of the San Mateo Sound, those ocular oracles known as the Residents, received a long lost package containing cassette tapes of strange chanting, along with percussive accompaniment. Knowing its likely source, they immediately set sound to disc, their way of honoring the intrepid musical explorer.
