Subwoofer info request

Hi there; I understand this is quite a generic question somehow but it is because I can't find anything online I come ask here.
I got a Siemens R315 G4 subwoofer, which must be decades old, with only info are:

• sinusoidal power: 100 Watt
• music performance: 120 Watt
• impedance: 8

Any idea what this is even worth in terms of performance/price ? I cannot connect this to my audio setup and I wonder if it would be worth trying to find a solution to connect it somehow to see how it works.

It's apparently a passive subwoofer, so it cannot be directly driven by the usual "LFE" output of an AVR -- unlike the usual active subwoofer, it will need it's own external amplification plus a low-pass filter if it's fed with a non-"LFE" input signal. As for performance -- well, without a spec sheet, who knows?

You will probably spend more getting it connected to your system (buying an amp, etc.) than it is worth.

The only other search result for this thing is an ebay listing at 60 EUR.

If you need a subwoofer at low cost, the best bet is to keep an eye on your local second-hand listings and grab a deal on a good powered sub when it comes up.
