Hi guys, please help me figure this out.
I have space in the wall for two speakers but no space for a subwoofer. I’m looking for active speakers and considering the Airpulse A300 / A300 Pro.
My TV has optical and HDMI ARC outputs.
I read that the Pro version has an advantage in sound (especially bass) when connected via RCA/XLR.
  1. Does it mean there’s no point in choosing the Pro if I’m going to connect via optical?
  2. If I connect the Pro, do I need to use any intermediate amplifiers to connect via RCA, or would I lose quality due to additional signal conversion?
  3. How can I avoid losing bass?
  4. How can I control the volume with the TV remote? Is it worth connecting speakers via hdmi using something like Arylic B50

That doesn't make sense to me. Bypassing or not-bypassing the built-in DAC shouldn't affect the bass.

...You WILL lose the "point one" LFE channel if you don't have a surround decoder & subwoofer but you'll still get the regular bass.

I wouldn't expect any difference. If you go analog, balanced connections are more immune to noise but it's rarely a problem "at home" where unbalanced RCA connections are standard.

The TV's digital outputs are probably volume-controlled.

Thank you.
So, just to summarize — am I right that I don’t need to worry and can simply connect directly via optical? And in that case, does the A300 Pro version make sense for use with a TV
