Hi!
I'm looking for an open source project, basically a piece of code that gets audio from an input/microphone, does something with it (not important), and output it to the main or selected device

It looks like JUCE is the goto solution for anything audio / cross platform

There's a ton of stuff on the linux side. PulseEffects/EasyEffects is an easy way to start on the desktop, but there are an assortment of ways to apply effects from LADSPA or VST through ALSA, JACK, PulseAudio or PipeWire.
