My Dog - pet thread

So many great looking dogs in this thread, might as well add my girl. :)

What a great collection of awesome looking dogs. My avatar Rudy, long haired jack russell in his demanding RUB MY BELLY pose. He seems to be oblivious to my loud rock n roll. Sometimes he will leave the room when I turn it up to 11.View attachment 243750
He's absolutely adorable.

I started this thread in 2021. On Sunday I lost my pal, the love of my life way too early. The surgical Vet said she had a tumor that burst and there was nothing they could do. So Sunday Mar 23, at 7:15 am, 2025 I said goodbye to my best friend. My wife and I are gutted with grief. Our time with our fury friends is way too short so enjoy every minute you can while they are with you.

Pete,
Sorry for your loss. I agree, their time with us is always too short
Same thoughts here. I am loathe to click like on posts of bad news so I'll reply here.

Tali was a good looker and I'm sure a good friend. I met a borzoi once but unlike Tali it was not visible from the front unless it was turning. I spoke to the owner who explained that it was because the dog was two-dimensional and really needed to be viewed in profile. Very unusual.

My name is Dots and I came from the dog pound in Rockwall Texas.

Very cute. I love the eyebrows. Looks playful.

Perhaps sharing pics helps Pete feel a bit better. Let's hope. Here's Lucy (the black one) and Zeno only a couple of days after we brought him home from the shelter. At first we named the pup Rocco at that time but it didn't stick, he's just not that kind of swaggering tough guy so we renamed him after the man from Elea with the best paradoxes. His name in the shelter was Boomer and he came from Mobile Alabama. Lucy, is from Georgia. She's 7 now and her shelter name was Candy, which is a stripper name, not a dog name. For a week she was named Blixa after Mr. Bargeld, which I still think is a great dog name but it didn't work because it meant having to spell it out for everyone every time. Lucy was my grandmother's name and also because I Love Lucy and "Lucy! You got some 'splainin' to do!"

Oh so sorry for you both. Many ages ago I had two lovely Borzoi and they are such very sweet dogs. And yours was particularly beautiful. My deepest condolences.

They have some weird quirks. Pink Floyd many years ago used one in a jam session.

My condolences. I’ve lost four wonderful dogs in my 66 years. Always painful but also awesome memories. Sorry for your loss.
