I'm trying to find an M3 screw / post / pin with a fine thread (i.e. with a 0.35mm thread pitch) and I'm struggling to track one down. It's for a volume dial so I can have a better guide as to where it's set. The dial has a M3 screw hole and I thought I'd just put in some kind of screw or half-threaded post / pin / rod (I'm not that fussy - just don't want anything with a bulbous head). Something like this is what I'm after:

I'm in the UK, but all I can find are M3s with the standard course thread pitch (0.5mm). Anyone know where I should be looking (tried Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Google and a number of specialist DIY places and they seem to have fine threads but only for larger M8+ screw sizes.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks. Yes. at a pinch I might have to go with something like that. I was hoping to not have exposed threads, thus the pic above. I think AliExpress looks the best bet though. I'm fine with any head type : torx, flat, hex, you name it.

Not sure you where you are but you should probably look at specialty shops.

Yes, these grub screws could work. I'm going with these and a mini "tall" M3 washer. That should do for what I'm after. It's just to get some idea of volume for speakers in another room and the volume dial is hard to read from a distance. Appreciate all the help. But I think I'm sorted.
