This question possibly has an obvious answer that I am missing, but when calibrating Dirac, should you be sitting in your listening position?

I’m new to correction software and have been trying it out for my stereo mastering room. I’m a little worried about my head/body affecting/absorbing high end, and after taking measurements of both, I get different sounding results.

Short answer. No.

You’ll position the microphone on a stand, and move out of the path between the speaker and microphone. In other words, move such that you’re facing the back of the microphone and not in the path of sound.

Here’s an illustration of proper method of microphone positioning.
