So out of interest and probably an OCD need to vent everything that comes in a sealed box, I dismantled my DBX GoRack. I found the reason for the rich smooth attributes of the sonic improvements this little box provides my PA system with, take a look!

Not bad, it seems to have been quite inexpensive as well. This one would have been badly hit by the AKM factory fire.

They might be able to reintroduce this one with a redesign - the AK4621 codec is available again these days, only the extra AK5381 ADC is definitely a goner and finding a suitable replacement may be tricky... AK5522 would fit the bill analog performance and price wise but as usual for recent AKM ADCs, digital filter periodic ripple is a bit naff up to 192k. CS5351 is NRND so that's not a good idea either. Maybe bite the bullet and go for a CS5361.
