The most common over here is only 120V/15A so us Americans are probably stuck with 1800W without calling in an electrician.

Then again, that probably not much of an issue if you're dropping a quarter mil on an amp...

Use it with your kitchen's 4 ping 240V 20A plug.

I see my mistake, my pricing is an order of magnitude too low ;)

I didn't realise he founded Krell. So what Domestic speakers would make use of 6KW?
Perhaps original Apogee Ribbon Loudspeakers, the ones that didn't have a kapton backing on their ribbon. Dropped to around .1 ohm at some frequencies.

My guess is they do it this way to show what happens in a typical users home. Most people won't have a dedicated line. They could, but you know most will not.
You would need your own power pole and/or substation, wouldn't you? :p

I'd love to hear it in their demo room.

I don't get multichannel amps , there's so many good cheap active speakers and of course active subs .

All you need is a processor with room correction and configurable outputs ..

It needs to ship with mic and you put the speakers where you can and the software takes care of the rest.
An Atmos set up will require at least eight pairs of them, imagine how much it will cost to run all Transparent or MIT cable to all channels.

I know this thread is several years old but I just came across it.

The thing that blows me away about this link is that there is sufficient ultra high end demand to support this many rarified speaker companies.
There's lots more very rich folks in this world than you or I are aware of.

I remember reading an show coverage article in stereophile where a speaker maker said it was easier(paraphrasing) sell a $100,000/pair speaker than a $20,000 pair because of competition and the person buying expensive speakers doesn't want just anyone else to have what they have.

Personally I don't believe the Wadax gear is near as beautiful as the DanD
But beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
