Bookshelf recommendations with no subwoofer.

Sealed bookshelf speakers don't need to be as far off the rear wall as speakers with a port. A cloth or curtain on the wall behind your head makes a difference, too.

In the $2k range, 14ft x 14ft bedroom, listening from 12ft away from the speakers, with no space for a subwoofer, what recommendations do you have?

Subwoofers do not need to be on the floor. Maybe you do have space for a subwoofer without realizing it: we all consider subs to be floor-bound, but they don't HAVE to be.

Just something to maybe think about.
