Good morning to all of you!

I have a problem:
I have two MC 275s MKVI with serial numbers:
ABP 396X and ABP 396X. also almost Identical.

I bought two BW 802 Diamond D2, thinking I can run them with the 275s, but it seems to be very very difficult.
I have a C22 MKV pre-amplifier, and when I play this song:
Changed My Name - Song by Broadway Inspirational Voices
... turning up the volume, the two amps go into protection with the red front valves and disconnect.

I use the 275s in mono configuration on 2 Ohms because the Bowers And Wilkins can go very low with the Ohms.

I have an MQ112 equalizer.

Are there ways I can manage the sound so I don't load too much the 275s or is the only consideration to sell them if I want to use the BW802 D2s?

Thanks in Advance!
Maurizio

Basses require the most power.
I would turn down the bass on the MQ112 equalizer while keeping the volume constant, starting at 25 Hz and then increasing the range one step at a time up to 1 kHz.
If the MC 275s MKVI still switches off, it shouldn't be a power problem.

Have you spoken to McIntosh yet?

hi Roland ! ich wohne in München...
I sent an email to Mcintosh this morning....

Since both 275s have these problems, there could be two causes:
Tubes to be changed exhausted
or the new Speakers

I used to have Tannoy Cheviot speakers and had no problems.

Now the BWs have too big a load to handle....
I had to move the jumpers (so they told me at AC Germany) and set them to 2 ohms. and so they sounded very good. but I got stuck on one track. this:
Changed My Name - Song by Broadway Inspirational Voices
.....which seems to be very difficult to reproduce at high listening volume.

Cheers. Maurizio
