My Usual Goal:
Match the frequency response at the listening position with the source.
EQ at a miniDSP OpenDRC-DI
Top - two low pass shelves, the higher one cuts, the lower one boots.
Middle - RTA at the listening position of the stereo presentation
Bottom - RTA of left and right raw signal (no EQ) combined in the Focusrite, with -6db on each channel to avoid clip in the combination.
Result:
Pretty close, sounds fine.
