And the bouncing VU meters.
It doesn't get more objectivist than VU meters.
Not true. You need clipping lights too! I don't have a VU meter...but I have the clip indicator.

Really?

Of course the High-End juggernaut is going to keep on rolling, but it's really mostly about conspicuous consumption.
We need a sarcasm emoji....
Clearly my remark didn't come across.
Not much of a juggernaut.
Sonos sold more speakers than all the high end makers put together.
Speaking of Moore's law...
The Apple Home Pod is shockingly good for such a little thing. That smart / active DSP / room correction / sound steering thingy is impressive.
Come on guys there's toilet humour and my inappropriate drunkenness, that's valuable and entertaining too! Isn't it ? I mean your hurting my feelings here...I think you nailed it.
I liked Seattle airport, there's 2 types of airport to meYeah, that was a nasty and ignorant comment.
The Bangalore airport is top notch airport by any international standard:
And it is better than most (not all) US, European, Japanese, etc, airports.
Although I think Madrid gives it a run for the money.
I suspect the tech that finds its way into phones impacts every other audio/visual playback device. The expectation of 24/192 capability on a miniature chip means bigger and more complicated is really only for show. What was considered "High-End" in the early Nineties is no longer an acceptable standard on the low end.Phones are so good they are impacting photography and media consumption. Talk about a disruptive technology.
Small bluetooth speakers...
I don't know anyone with a home stereo. Home theaters are much more common. Everyone else streams from phones
or tablets.

1st , the one's I can drink beer right next to my gate and see my plane
2nd the rest
I exclusively enjoy the 1st type and have no other demands .
You probably haven't been to Seattle since they installed the new mid-runway bridge that lets you walk over the planes as they taxi underneath you.

But what about the carpet in PDX?

On the west coast, I fly to SEA, SFO, LAX, SAN.
Can I tell you a secret?
When I stopped caring about my audio equipment and sources, it was the moment I started enjoying the music.
Throw out all that toy stuff and buy some big boy's HiFi. If you have to put your hand on the top of something to prevent it skidding when you plug in a 1/4" HP lead, or a component moves when connecting RCAs or an XLR, it's just kid's junk.
Thank goodness. I though the only way out of this hobby was in a box.On account of not knowing about 19" rack mount electronics, we're sorry to inform you that your audiophile card has been revoked.
Wow , sensitive much?Thank you for insulting most cities in the USA. Please don't visit again.
Bangalore is a bit cramped for a relatively new airport although Delhi and Mumbai and some of the other new ones aren't.I was in Bangalore a few years ago. Better than most US airports.
+1 to that.I liked Seattle airport, there's 2 types of airport to me

Along those lines, I like SFO. The BA business lounge has a private gate exit, so you can be drinking for free until the last minute, then walk straight onto the plane.I liked Seattle airport, there's 2 types of airport to me

I was only there at some ungodly hour, so it wasn't very busy.Bangalore is a bit cramped for a relatively new airport although Delhi and Mumbai and some of the other new ones aren't.
