this is the 'corporate' beach i goto, nice little resurant and bar but not over commercialised.. the GF favorite as no walking involved  (also perfect for lazy americans as its drive and park up, Amir will like this:D) sorry no apartments or hotels on the beach though.

Now we are talking :). What part of UK is this? The UK I know and lived in is from London to Brighton and don't recall anything like that there!

well that's just down the road from dartmouth (where i am earl) south devon\ south hams. its where i grew up. the other pictures are thurstone (lived there) and bantham(lived there in the 'old chapel' its a holiday let now my family sold it many years ago but if you ever even think about coming here book this!)

the river picture is dartmore, 30 min drive but i spend a bit of time there too.

if you find yourself in blighty in the summer time i will show you the way:)

brighton is great for a night out and for culture and things going on but the beaches are crap, infact you wont find a more beautiful part of the country than where i grew up. it also has a micro climate that helps (not a lot but a little 2c).

i have been to seattle (home of the christian bread outlets lol) its nice round there too, and up in vancouver (home of the crazy guys wondering the streets)

Ah, never made it that far west. I was only 16-17 years old and at the mercy of my father as far as driving a car. Our home was in Brighton and I have a lot of fond memories of it (1970s). Always wanted to go to the west and see what was there.

Looking up the area on Wiki, it has this lovely picture of river:

Like the row of buildings there. Question: what is everyone lining up there for? Just enjoying the view or waiting for ferry or something?

Other than fearing Island Fever, I left my heart in New Zealand when I was there back in 1990s. What an amazing landscape. And friendly/nice people.
i have family out there.. yea it looks rather nice. no terrorists either.

amir there will be no getting your heart back, the natives would of eaten it by now.

Yeah humans destroyed it here. Yes the B.C interior. Hot desert valley where there's little rain and temps in the high 30's low 40's all summer long.

But good thing is only a very small % of land is even inhabited by humans around here. I can drive for 2000km back down a small road behind my house and not find a human for months.

Yes she will be on a short leash :)
