I bought the pearl finish Jazz Bass Special new in 1983. Also bought a pearl finish Strat at the same time. Unfortunately it was stolen from backstage at a gig we were playing later that year. I think I got that 5 string in about 1995. Broke a string on that bass a few days ago and ordered new ones. I've been playing my keyboards and violin more this week.
