Hey,

I've been thinking about ways to reduce desk reflections (other than EQ for mids) and was thinking about creating some mini-absorbers to place below (and maybe above??) the speaker.
I intend to replace my Klipsch R51PMs + SVS SB-1000 with Neumann KH310s + KH750 in a few months.

I've attached a diagram of the idea I had in mind, with a red line denoting the closest position where reflections could be heard.
Like the panels I've made, it would be 50mm Fibretex 650 (100kg/m^3 glasswool). Note - I'll be making 6-8 more panels soon too to add further treatment.

Any thoughts on anything wrong/suggestions, is appreciated! :)

I have standing panels like yours, and I hung similar panels from the ceiling. Getting some space between the panels and ceiling makes the absorption a bit more efficient, and to a lower frequency.

I'd think about perforated non-resonating desk instead of pads.

Yes, I do plan to hang 2-3 from the ceiling, although I have them further down the list. I plan to make some 200mm bass traps with 60kg/m^3 glasswool first, plus a few more 50mm 100kg/m^3 panels.

I did a small amount of research on these, however, I couldn't find them where I live (FNQ in Australia), let alone any that fit the bill I needed in terms of size/thickness (to mount screen etc...)
