I noticed when looking at KEFs S3 speaker stands that they don’t have the usual padding on their top platforms for isolation and/or to prevent scratching of the cabinet. It seems like they just provide extremely thin stick on rings that go around the holes where you bolt the speakers in, but I can’t imagine they provide much if any protection.
Presumably this is due to the intention for the speakers to be bolted on, but I would have thought they’d want to offer some protection regardless. My intent would be to bolt my R3s onto them.
Anyone out there with KEFs S2 or S3 stands able to provide some insight on whether or not the lack of padding has caused any issues, cosmetic or otherwise?
