Hey all,

I have smudges on my Amplifier and Receiver. What is the best way of cleaning them off without causing damage?

Thanks

Unplug.

99% Isopropyl + Microfiber towel.

If you need abrasion to get it off, you can try a magic eraser + dish soap, but that can cause a haze on glossy surfaces.

Looks like I have a little spray bottle of 100%. Ok to use that?

I'd generally consider water with some dishwashing detergent a safer option. Not all silkscreening may resist alcohol very well.

I find isopropyl alcohol on some toilet paper works well for sprucing up dirty / dull old CD jewelcases though. You can also clean CDs themselves like this, although you should limit their exposure to alcohol to a minimum as it may cloud polycarbonate. A quick wipe should be fine though.
