Brand new Ananda v3 and all I can hear are crackles with 192 kHz audio.

Arrived yesterday morning, they seem to be v3 (16ohm 92db written on the outside of the box) I've let them just about 22h on a little burn in session, medium volume (laptop + Xduoo XD05 Bal 2 in SE / low gain).
Now I've just tried to listen to the 192 kHz collection on Qobuz (in Wasapi Exclusive) and I can't hear any sound, just continuous crackling noise. Tried with both balanced custom cable and their original cable.
Also I've tried with a Michael Jackson Thriller 192 kHz flac in AIMP player and nothing changed, same sound.
This is my SMSL stack:

And I just listened to both (Qobuz and AIMP Player) 192 kHz music with my older Ananda no Stealth, Original model without issues.

The new ones (found on a decent price on amazon.it) are still working fine with 44.1 kHz up to 96 kHz.
But now I just like them less. Anyway someone could give me a hand to figure it out what's happening?

Sounds like user error honestly.

Headphones have no concept of sample rate. All they understand is analog audio.

If there's sound at 44-96kHz but not at 192kHz, then either your DAC is defective or you didn't set it up correctly.

The headphone cannot be blamed.

Also, burn in doesn't exist on headphones, so that 22h session was completely pointless.

Man you're right (although according to a note from the Italian seller these headphones would require 150 - 200h of burn in never high volume lol).
But then what? All I've replace is the headphone.
This way they're working fine though (176.4 kHz):

That note is so that customers don't return the headphone, which is a loss for the seller.

Have you installed the SMSL audio driver for your DL300?

Also, try using another USB cable.

Yes I have installed the driver, I always install them.
Cable is a good one (should be at least):

Another strange issue I've just noticed right now, if I set the sampling rate to 24 bit/ 48 kHz from Windows / System / Sound I get zero sound.
Setting it back to 32 bit / 44.1 kHz it's working just fine.
I'm starting to understand less and less.

I'm gonna try with another cable

...also,have you tried a different USB port?

(in case you you tried lots of ports is maybe a good idea to get into the Device Manager and delete all other blanc entries except the one in use,you will see them after checking "show hidden devices" )

Hi, yes.
I've changed the cable and the USB port, uninstalled, cleaned (Reg values) and reinstalled the SMSL driver, still not working in 192khz.

The only thing I can think of apart from being broken is low buffer?
That's a long shot thought.

Can you measure it's output with a multimeter and a steady 1Khz signal?
If you got one,put it on AC scale and check all outputs.

Can you test higher?Like 352.8 and 384Khz?
Just upsample if you have no signal handy)
So, I've just connected to the previous usb port, using the new lime cable. But then I've unplugged the power cord from the dac as there's no more a power on/off switch on the back (Why SMSL?, the DO300EX has one) and then powered it back.
Now the bloody 192 kHz is working on Qobuz like it did before, in Wasabi Exclusive mode :)
