Batch Resample in MacOS

I would like to take a bunch of Flac tracks which were encoded at 192kbps and resample them down to 96kbps. In Windows this is a snap with Footer2000's convert facilities. It's easy to convert Flac to wav and back to Flac in MacOS 14, but I can't seem to find a way to batch resample the wav files. It needs to be free software because otherwise I might as well do this on one of the Windows boxes I have around the house.

Maybe you can do it directly to FLAC.

for i in *.flac; do afconvert -f flac -d flac@96000 -r 127 "${i}"; done
