In my view EQ can never fix a bad room, period.
DSP can't fix a bad room but it can certainly help fix a bad speaker (to a point) which then interacts with the room.

LOL! I often get that from people who deny the validity of the methods and findings of science. Unsupported claims are a stereotypical (pun intended) response from audiophile subjectivists when their false beliefs are challenged - a bit of the gored ox thing.

Nice try, however. Actually, my responses to "controversial" audiophile subjectivist claims are based on my reading of published science and objective reporting on published science. Conversely, most of your claims are completely unsupported by any reliable and repeatable evidence - scientific or otherwise. It will take more than baseless "opinions" to convince science-minded people here at ASR that confirmed scientific findings are invalid.
