app for Gustard streamer HDD playback?

Hi,

Im planning to buy a Gustard S16 mediaplayer/streamer but i cant seem to find a app for my phone or tablet. i want to connect a USB harddrive with my music files on it and search through it, select a album or song and play it.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
I dont want to connect a computer or NAS.

The S16's User Manual contains a link to the Companion App, which you can download as APK from the chinese file hosting site baidu, with the password "6666":

OMG, is it only in chinese? i get the feeling i better start looking for another mediaplayer.
any suggestions here?
i got a DAC and i would like a device that can be controlled from an app to to search through the USB HDD and play it.
Looking round etc i cant really find one, its all DAC streamers. i really like the hifi rose one but its outside my budget
