I hope you're right! However it's been two months and no direct comment from Bryston. How did you manage to get in touch with them? At this point pmc are suggesting i pay for the replacement but hoping Bryston will chat directly.

These are now reduced to £8,700 + shipping at cost (or pickup in London).

I have a feeling that Bryston will come through as well. They haven't got such a good reputation in the pro market for nothing! Of course I'll have a look around while I'm waiting though...

I have to say - having some inside view from the current state of the music industry, I don't think that vinyl can be considered a fad. AKG K872 - apparently the last design from the Austrian AKG team before they were sold to harman! I've found them really great for a 2nd reference, and great for catching tiny issues during denoising/restoration of audio :) Driven straight from a Prism Sound interface, no need for an external amp.
