Hi guys
Bought myself the Denon AVR-X4700, but still using my AVR-X2200 until I move out of my current home
Have run Audyssey a few times in the last few years when upgrading my Current AV setup (obviously)
I primarily watch Blu Ray Music DVDs on my system, listen to CD’s and TV watching...
I have a 12 month warranty Thankyou and the AVR is £725, which is less than it’s £1400 new price
The Sony PS5 will now work on my 4700 unit, what are you on about for the X Box Series X? Who says it won’t work?
Better DAC? that’s great news then
I take it that the better AKM DAC will make listening to music CD’s sound better in 2 channel mode (using my Marantz CD Player into the Denon) and movies and music blu rays will sound better?
I’ve not disconnected my current Denon AVR-X2200 unit from my...
Hi guys, just bought a used Denon AVR-X4700 from Richer Sounds, an absolute steal of a price for £725.. Mint Condition! Was able to haggle down from £799
I have now found out that my unit is the one affected by the 120hz issue, Denon are sending me the adapter (see our conversation pictures)

Hi
Picking up a 1 year old 4700 unit from Richer Sounds on Monday, it was a trade in unit and comes with 1 year warranty, the previous owner had it and then traded it in for an 8500
I have the serial number for my new 4700
2 questions, apart from opening it up.. how do I tell which DAC it has...
Okay.. an update !
Because I wanted a newer AV Receiver anyway
(someat more up to date)
a friend of mine at Richer Sounds here in the UK has had an 11 month old Denon AVC-X4700 just come in on a trade in deal! Cost was £725! Bargain!
So I’ll have lots more Audyssey options and more features...
Thanks for the advice everybody
I noticed a couple of people can be quite bitchy and sarcastic on here, just because I’m not as technical as some of you!! Life is a learning curve!
We’re not all “audiophiles”
Yes I’m a professional musician for a living, but that’s on a stage in front of...
I tell you what I’ve noticed, the newer upgraded models seem to be unreliable, dunno what these people have done ♂️ (see attached pics)
My 2200 has never given me any problems ever
I’ll have a play with my settings, but for now I’ll put up with it all until I move to my new home at the end...
Yes I’ve run Audyssey calibration
The bass frequencies on movies, blu ray music dvds are fine, sounds really good, it’s just CD Listening that’s a bit “thin” you can’t change EQ on the 2200 when listening to CD’s, I don’t think ?
Anyway, my Monitor Audio Bronze 500 are easily good enough...
I’ve attached my settings for my System, pretty sure it’s all good my end, currently listening to to a Music CD through the Denon, crystal clear but still lacks “fullness” I’ve tried Pure Direct Mode and then back to the AVR in Stereo, I’ve got the Marantz CD Player connected to back of the...
