Somethings can be further improved, but the functionality and sound quality for the price are awesome! However these are the types of products we need instead of a 2ch DAC. Addition of streaming, EQ etc is where things should go. Cudos to Wiim for showing the way!

As many people here will confirm, power supplies are a non-issue and do not change the performance of dacs and streamers in any way

Awesome and good to hear that you don't hear any pops or clicks! That means that the whole setup with my Genelec can be switched on and off automatically, sweet! Waiting for some more reviews and the end of summer (and coming back inside the house) to get one

Some questions to those that already got their units: -can you bring the wiim ultra out of standby with toshlink signal and with Spotify connect? -are there loud pops when the devise switches on and off? -can you control how long it takes for the device to sleep if nothing is playing? I...

I do agree. USB audio input would have been great. Nonetheless, this seems like a great package overall, definitely in the right direction of where things should be heading.... Very tempted to get one but will wait for first tests/impressions. Previous Wiim devices make me think it will perform...

I agree it is really close! I was considering some standard DAC for my workstation setup driving my Genelec 8030c's, but this is a no brainer with the functionality it includes! Finally we are getting proper bass handling and EQ in one product and not another DAC.... FINALLY! What come thoughts...

Yes the LCR is setup... partly. There are some renovations in between and some babies turning toddlers slowing things down. Have listened to a lot of music from the R3's so far and I am very happy Are you able to buy single speakers in the UK?
