BTY I also love the antique furniture, it's incredibly beautiful.
Thank you. I built the Living room fireplace mantle, the Family room equipment rackmount and Den drawer chest. It's an insurmountable task to make rooms inviting with this much audio clutter, but my exceedingly tolerant wife somehow makes it livable.

My wife and I have had this system for almost 10 years now, and it still brings us just as much joy now as it did when I built it.

Thiel CS 2.4 SE
Lenovo tiny PC in a case, running Linux and MusicPD
Bel Canto REF Link USB to AES adapter
Ayre C-5
Bel Canto DAC 2.5
Bel Canto REF500M x 2
Some Furman device that's a glorified power strip

We recently inherited an Ayre C-5, so that's in the system. I use a Henry Engineering 3 input 1 output AES switch to toggle between the USB converter and the CD player.

Power cables are various lengths from the endless supply available at a data center. AES and balanced cables are Mogami, bought on eBay.

I got the Bel Canto stuff for a great price back in the day. While it is certainly a bit overpriced - having the components all match is nice.

The computer case is just a 2U amp case from an Italian DIY audio company. The back panel had 6 holes machined in for D-sized connectors. I put Ethernet, USB (one for the AES adapter, one for an IR receiver), and HDMI, with two left unused.

I just had a coaxial driver repaired by Rob at Coherent Source Service. I highly recommend him for any Thiel owners out there.

The walking sticks probably need to find a new home...

Hi everyone.
I just bought a new setup for my bedroom thanks to the time I spent lurking ASR.

I needed a 100% wireless solution, as between the speakers is a big balcony double door. Otherwise I would probably have taken some Genelecs G Three's.
Ended up buying the JBL 4305P (didn't want LS50 W2's).
It's my set-up for when I'm in bed as the photo suggest. I tilted them down a bit, as they seem to have poor vertical off-axis response (according to Erin)
The Sonos Era 100's are the former setup and these JBL surpass them by a mile.

I guess the endgame for this small room (13m2) would be some Wireless/Smart Buchardts or Dynaudio's, but I'm pretty sure there will be many more Wireless speakers (with smart connectivity included) coming out soon !

And here's my living room
5.2 Focal Arias/Monolith THX 10"
Denon AVR 3700
120" screen
Xiaomi UST Laser Cinema 2
PS5 (if you ask : latency is good, only 30ms input lag in game mode)

The dog is watching those panthers. Nice :)

I bought myself a new desk, which then spiraled out of control. So i bought the desk. Then a nice new display mount. Then a new display (from 1080p 23" to 1440p 27" IPS). Then it turned out my computer wasn't able to do the full 144Hz in games the display can take. So i bought a new PC, i7-14700k, 64GB ram, RTX 4090 in a nice North case. Then i went one time too many over my headphone cable with the office chairs rollers, so i bought new speakers.

So far i'm almost 5000€ in it. I only need a KVM switch and a good DAC and then i'm happy.
