My first post. These are the female vocalist that have released recently that I have been listening to. I also have been following advice here and am waiting on a RME ADI-2 Dac. I got out of headphone listening for about 10 years but am getting back in to it after buying hifimans hd-400i.

Welcome to the forum! And oh yes, the 400i sounds really good. It is my favorite among the ones on my bench.

I think your asking if I speak French. If so, no I am a English speaker. Family left France for Britain during the Norman invasion then migrated to U.S.A. in the 1700's and finally ended up on the west coast for the last 4 generations. We will keep migrating west and end up back in France after we turn Asian for awhile. We will get there, I am already working on it. My wife is Asian. Just give us a few hundred more years.

Well on almost all of these recordings the female voices sounded very clear to me. Nicely done. @amirm it seems like you have a specific favorite type of sound!
However, I would like to see something other than "Diana Krall type music.
I've seen a few neat videos already on here. Wouldn't mind more.

Though recording quality isn't stellar on it, man it wrings out the emotions doesn't it?!

A lot of these modern female singers are pretty ordinary compared to those who came before them. Each to their time, I guess. Occasionally some will stand out as individually talented, beyond studio tricks and celebrity promotion.
