If a cable can" act as filter..." then there is at least a potential for an audible difference.
Skin effect seems to be a real phenomenon and not trivial to deal with.
We are in a position of mutual admiration. Our president is so proud.
Lots of good info in this article by AmirI'd like to better understand how gauge and conductivity play a role in both speaker cable and interconnects. Here are a few common thoughts on the subjects. I'm leaving cost out of the equation because I don't want that to be a considered factor. I only care about the electrical characteristics of the cable.
If you want to make an "audible difference" there are better ways to do it than by swapping wires.
Yes, it's a real phenomenom.

The rule of thumb appears to be that a larger diameter or gauge can be beneficial. Is this for better conductivity? So the voltage doesn't get choked?
Ray, couldn't you find that stuff in something else besides that hideous green?I got that covered here, plus I get to post my 2AWG THHN speaker cable picture!
Green sounds the best, I can't believe you don't know that salRay, couldn't you find that stuff in something else besides that hideous green?
Yeh and in a pinch, he lights up his fireworks with it!!!I got that covered here, plus I get to post my 2AWG THHN speaker cable picture!
