Hi everyone. There is a UK-based online auctioneer that sells used items from production, broadcast and transmission companies (as well as office gear). Whenever a media company closes a site or moves, they use Peaker Pattinson. There are often items such as 1/4" professional reel-to-reel tape machines, monitor speakers, processors etc. For example the estate of David Hughes sale has some R-to-R machines.
It's worth bearing in mind they may be well used! On the other hand, they will probably have been tested and calibrated frequently. They sometimes offer physical viewings (no use of course if you are not UK-based).
A few years ago, one of the sales had a large number of BBC LS3/5as and some LS5/9s with starting prices of £100, which I considered bidding for. But they all went for > £1000!
