Newbie - Cambridge CXN (V2) Good choice? Need amplifier to pair

Hey guys!
1st timer here. Building a set-up from scratch.

Will be primarily streaming from Tidal Hifi+
Starting with a streamer. Liking old school aesthetics with colored windows showing content etc, dials, knobs etc because I think they are cooler than the minimalist look!
What do you think of this streamer against others at this price point for hi-res?
Also seeking a good integrated amp to pair with this- Would an Audio lab be good? Don't want to go much over $1000 USD (maybe $1200). Desire muscular but light, airy and a wide stage with plenty of space between. What do you guys think of Shiit Audio of Texas?

The Cambridge Audio streaming software is great - compatible with a variety of sources.

These days Hypex and Purifi-based amps are the best value. Get something from @Buckeye Amps who are active on the Forum. Or @boXem if you are in Europe.

Or pick up something good second-hand. One of the Yamahas or NADs. Unless you are trying to drive Apogee Scintillas or something, you should be able to get more power than you need and full transparency with those options.

If you’re building from scratch then I’d ditch the amp and go Active monitors, perhaps with a sub.

Speakers and room are determinants for amplification. Have you investigated speakers yet? It's where you should start. Room size, and whether you are putting the system in the living area or a dedicated room that can be treated (as well as budget) come into this. The streamer and DAC are also important, but not in the same way and certainly not at the same cost.

I think you need to tell us a little of your circumstances, and overall budget, before continuing this.
