I want to build active speakers powered by Hypex Fusion plate amps.
I have looked at DIY kits, and only found the following:
http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/Ekta-2D.htm
http://www.seas.no/index.php?option...=583:seas-kingro4y-mk-iii&catid=66&Itemid=250
My first criteria is that the speakers still sould good if they are close to the walls, or even attached to a wall.
My other criteria is probably not worth mentioning, because it's probably everyone's criteria: I want the best sound I can get for the buck !
My price range ends with the kingro4y.
However, given that the law of diminishing return applies in accoustics as it does in every domain, I am wondering if the Ekta sounds "almost as good" as the kingro4y-mk-iii. If it does, I would probably chose it.
If however the quality ratio between the two is the same as their price ratio, I would be tempted by the kingro4y.
Are there other DIY kits that would work well with Fusion Amp plates ?
Tanks, appologies for these very non professional questions !
