I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

I guess i just assumed that its the easiest test really, to see what is heard by the Mic when things change. The advocates for speaker cables always say "You cant measure changes, its what sounds best" which always felt like B.S to me as your brain plays tricks on you., i just wanted to see if...

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

No i dont, i just do a reading one after another. I didnt think about using just one Speaker. I guess my goal was to mimic how i listen.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

Thats what i see, surely if it was a measurement issue, the actual runs of the same cable would differ? but they dont.... the same cable seem fairly consistent.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

The only realistic differences are having it louder by +5db. The mic was put in the same location, middle seat, but this may be off by around 10cm radius from where it was yesterday.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

Btw... the latest readings i increased the volume on the AVR by 5db so this was -25db, the first readings were -30db.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

I've just taken readings again... Obvs my Mic probably isnt in the exact same position as it was yesterday... I took AQ readings first and Kimber second: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqzFMmO6mN3Hk-xxIyM2Joe3mWtThg?e=KnWWGO

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

Hi Guys... REW files attached. As i say.... I am a major sceptic about cables... I have regular debates with my mate who spent £2000 on Chord Sarin cables, when we tested them at his house, there was a difference in volume vs standard chord but i was convinced it was placebo! Happy to re-run...

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

That’s exactly what I did. 5 sweeps of each. You can choose sweep 2 of AQ and sweep 4 of Kimber, the graphs are identical.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

The only big difference physically is far more copper as I’ve bi amped the Kimber with 2 x runs of 12TC to each speaker so there will be an AWG difference for sure but I read on short runs (mine are only 1.5m) awg shouldn’t make that much difference.

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

No mic stayed in the exact same place. The banana plugs were changed not long ago but the Kimber ones are brand new, they could be a possible reason for sure but why would it only change between 120-170 as I say from 170 hertz to 20khz it’s identical not even a .db difference after 170hz

I did measure a difference between my new Kimber 12TC and AudioQuest 14/4

Hi folks, I wanted to get peoples views on this. Like many on here, I am super sceptical about speaker cables making a discernible difference to my system but I wanted to share this to see what people thought. I have been using Audioquest 14/4 for about 9 years, connecting musical fidelity power...

    XLR-to-RCA Cables

Hi Guys, This topic is an interesting one as i think i may have an issue caused by an XLR to RCA cable.... I have a Denon DJ controller than connects to my Yamaha 3080 AVR via XLR no problems. But then, i connect from 2080 XLR out to RCA in on my Rotel Power amp, therefore sending balanced...
