The DMP-A6 already has PEQ onboard and the DAC is almost as good as this one.

Trust me, everyone who has commented on these modes on various sites have agreed-no one can reliably tell a difference. My rig is in my sig. Eversolo DMP A6>D90SE>Freya+ passthru>Buckeye 3 ch Purifi>F208's.

This is the device we are discussing in this thread. NPR did a story on this device last week and the story was surprisingly honest, if a bit optimistic re: its effectiveness.

Did they not give you hearing protection? They give me headphones which mask the loud pounding. One could also wear foam earplugs if necessary.
