Short answer: measurements actually matter.

I feel like 'fast music' is a very weird idea to have. No matter how 'quickly' someone plays an instrument or how fast it repeats...

I used Eq Mac, and IFI Zen One Signature, but I also try Eq Mack ones with my RME to hear the difference, and it was obvious, with RME...

No headphone can touch the HD800s soundstage And to me it's a little more important than more speed

My Violectric V222 has a significantly warmer sound than my RME ADI-2 headphone out, anyone with normal hearing can hear the difference.

I used Eq Mac before I bought my RME ADI-2 and the difference in performance was clear, software EQ is bad, at least if you use Mac.

Anyone who has heard HD800s with proper hardware, and EQ knows that there are no better headphones on the market, why spend more money...

To my mind there's really no contest: There more expensive the amps from this brand, the uglier they get.
